Mary Katrantzou Spring/Summer 2012

ENORMOUS fan of Mary, she is the kind-of new designer who has hit the scene hard. And we mean hard, starring in Vogue editorials and landing on fashion's most fashionable editors (ADL, for one). Her prints are out of this world, and I'm quite positive her last collection was one of the best of the season. She can pull off clashing like normal people pull off sweatpants and sneakers.  It's so risque but complimentary. With her prints, she chose to go more abstract this time around as opposed to structured that was last season. I prefer structured, as abstract can get messy and cheap looking.

She really played the floral trend with a runway full of flowers and three toned block color pant and sheer (!) tops.
I'm just stunned as to how someone can put together these patterns that no one would think to put together, and pull it off SO well. The only other person who can do that well is Dries, and he's another genius we can't wait to see in Paris!

This is my favorite collection thus far in both fashion weeks! I'm just wondering how she made that last dress....

Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2012

Christopher Bailey looked relieved and content after the Burberry show during London Fashion Week. This seemed like the sister show to their menswear presentation this past summer. Some men walked, almost as if to remind the audience to compare the two. The patterns are warm, busy, and remind me of last season's show. We love the chunky beading along the ankle on some of the shoes. The trench coat was given another level of sophistication, taking a step away from the traditional Burberry look. We're glad Christopher is moving the brand with a marketable yet chic and trendy approach. Definitely the best show during LFW.

Julien MacDonald Fall 2011

I love the dark mysterious girl Julien is trying to portray in this collection. I love the avant garde models and the pale skin with pin straight hair. One of the only things I have a problem with is the cut, it's kind of awkward and I think I would feel uncomfortable if I wore it. Also the lighter dresses toward the end are just ugly. The last dress I can cope with, but the other details are too gaudy for me.

Vivienne Westwood Red Label Fall 2011

Love the details for Vivienne Westwood's Red Label Fall 2011 show. Here are some of the highlights. I go crazy for that makeup and the headpieces. The clothes are exactly what I had expected of Vivienne, and I love love love that we are able to see through the clothes and the makeup to a higher art form. Love Vivienne Westwood! She's crazy and we love crazy here!
