Probably the most genuinely funny video I've seen since Alber Elbaz's interview with Lynn Hirschberg for the New York Times three years ago. This is Lanvin's Fall/Winter 2011 Ad campaign. 

Balmain Has a Lower End Line!

And by lower end we mean a pair of jeans probably costs $800. Just kidding. Actually, a pair of jeans will cost you roughly half that from their lower end line, Pierre Balmain, noticeably named after Balmain's founder, Pierre. Very...original. We're just full of sarcasm today. We have to say we are excited to see if any of the clothing even remotely resembles the Balmain line. It will probably look like a cheaper version, unfortunately, but let's see what their "independent design team" will come up with! These are first images of the line. We can't wait to see more!

We Didn't See This Coming

First Taylor Momsen, now Kelly Osbourne?! That's quite a dynamic, Madonna.

For her clothing line, Material Girl, Madonna has decided that it is time to change faces. And by faces we mean raccoon eyes and stripper boots. We really love Kelly Osbourne, but why would she pick up this line to endorse after that whore Taylor Momsen? Maybe the whole 'prostitot' factor wasn't selling.

Lara Stone for Calvin Klein

Lara Stone looks breathtakingly beautiful in this Calvin Klein commercials directed by Fabian Baron. This is Calvin Klein's first commercial, and it looks like they are following in the footsteps of other designers who choose to showcase their collections via video clips. 

The clip features Lara and male model Tyson Ballou in some beautiful CK designs. 

Tom Murry, the CEO of Calvin Klein, stated:

“I believe the creative conveys the message that Calvin Klein Collection—our halo brand, positioned at the top of our global brand pyramid—is modern, timeless, luxurious and sexy.”

Stone will also be starring in the print campaigns for Calvin Klein Collection and ck Calvin Klein. Loves it! 

Victoria's Secret Angels are Taking Over!

Loving this new photo shoot for Dolce and Gabbana's Spring/Summer 2011 look book. These ladies are fierce and I love to see ad campaigns that speak (scream) to me.

Balenciaga at NYFW?

We don't know how we feel about Balenciaga moving their show to the states. Would it take away from PAFW? That is the week everyone anticipates. American brands are great, but Balenciaga belongs in Paris! Would it cheapen the brand to bring them here? Paris is known for its high fashion, high lifestyle, and prestige. The US? Not so much...

Nicolas Ghesquière stated,


“I’m questioning if there is a new way of communicating about a fashion brand. It could be an art proposal, it could be a movie. [The scope] is very open, very large.”

We would love to see a Balenciaga movie in the works, but not so much moving their show. And what was up with putting Gisele as the face of SS 2011? She so doesn't fit the criteria! Disaster in the works, we'll keep you posted!

Crystal Renn has scored another campaign! She will be representing DSquared2 in their Spring/Summer 2011 campaign. Love her so much! She is so beautiful! We would love to see more plus sized models working with designers!

OMG

This has been a great week for models and their endorsement deals. One of our favorites, Lindsey Wixson, was just named the ambassador for Alexander McQueen!!! Congratulations!!!

The girl looks so precious with that dress, but we're not in love with the ad. It's beautifully done, but I was expecting more drama, more McQueen.

It's been almost a year, and we still can't believe he's gone :(
