Parker in Red

We are loving SJP's new look in Giambattista Valli this past weekend in Russia. The red compliments her olive complexion and her hair pulled back puts the immensity of the dress in its own spotlight. Her boobs do look a little..tight...and we think she could have done without that necklace as the cape is enough centerpiece. Oh that fabric..

Met Gala 2011: Red Carpet Round 2

Blake looked lovely last night at the Met Gala. She was wearing (of course) Chanel Couture, and came with none other than (of course) Karl Lagerfeld. I do think she's a bit too orange in color, but that might be the lighting. Love Karl's Jacket! I'm not feeling Blake's new red hair...are you?

This could have easily been the winning number of the night. Two things prevent it from such: color and the pattern on the tulle. Doutzen looks amazing in Valli, though.

Tory looks fabulous! How old is she? Kanye...usual. I've been meaning to bring this up, and I'm glad I have a window of opportunity now, because I've been noticing green accessories pop up everywhere. Keep an eye out..

Miranda and Orlando were the best looking couple last night, in my opinion. She wore a beautiful Marchesa number with Kirkwoods, and she was glowing! Gorgeous!

We MUST talk about this dress. I think someone is channeling their Adams Family days slash Gaga. Of course Zac Posen looked as edible as he always does. He's beautiful, just perfect! I can't get over her waist, though! Ew! I'm hoping that's not her real bone structure...

You either love it or hate it. I love it, not on her. The dress is wearing her.

Madonna needs to step out of the 80's. No, really! She didn't look awful, but she didn't look amazing.

It's hard for my to say anything bad about Christina Hendricks because she is so beautiful and lovely, but this dress does her NO favors. None, whatsoever. 

I....no.

She looked SO good. Is there ever an event where she doesn't?

Notice that both Rihanna and Taylor wore something very similar? How does this happen? Don't their PR people channel each other before these things? Well, they should.

Best dressed. Hands down. Love this McQueen dress on her, it is amazing! Lots of red tonight..

Of course she wore Gucci. Those were my first thoughts when I saw her yesterday. I would have gone with a different lip color or eye color, something's just off. Marc looks good, though.

Met Gala 2011: Red Carpet

The Met Ball is happening right now, and we've already spotted some fashionable attendees, including the lovely Ms. Wintour, who wore an insane Chanel Haute Couture piece, and her daughter, Bee Shaffer, who wore...we're not really quite sure what she was wearing, (note: it's Balenciaga) but we are not liking anything about it. She has a beautiful figure, but the dress does NOTHING to flatter it. Absolutely nothing. I can't believe Anna let her step out of the house like that, it's absolutely embarrassing. She's a beautiful girl, they could have put her in something more flattering!  Like a Gucci Spring 2011 piece! Imagine?

Colin Firth and Livia Giuggioli look...pleasant. I don't like anything above her forehead and below her bellybutton. Colin's suit jacket..yes! Those pants ruin the look, though. They need to be ironed or something..fitted, hemmed, taken in at..certain seams. He's sexy, though. 

Andre Leon Talley looks remarkable! Boyfriend is bad...

My dear Daphne Guinness, you look astonishing in that Alexander McQueen dress, that signature hairstyle, and that pose. Thank you for paying tribute to a genius! This is so touching!

I want you to know I planned on writing this sentence in bold capital letter. My life is complete. Hamish Bowls wearing a custom suit by Alexander McQueen. No, this really made my day. Those shoes, the perfect fit of those pants, and Hamish in general make this the perfect look of the night. Him and Daphne are the most beautiful people in the world right now.

Is this a joke? No, really. 

Margherita Missoni wearing Missoni looks stunning right now. Love everything Missoni makes! The belt, the accessories, the hair, the jaw dropping dress that looks like it is made of clouds. I adore her!

Why, Tinsley Mortimer?

Tinsley Mortimer showed up to the 8th Annual New Yorkers for Children Spring Dinner Dance at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City wearing THIS. Why? We have no idea. The color drowns her out and the shape swallows her petite figure, so pretty much what's left is her blond hair and shoes. Speaking of hair, she could have done something more to it--it looks cheap and half-assed. I don't like her jewelry either, but it doesn't matter because nothing can save this look.

SAG Awards

Winona Ryder looks like the bride of Beetlejuice in this far from fabu outfit with  that sixth grader satchel. Hair and makeup are a disaster and she really has nothing on that compliments her figure, skin tone, or face. Lovely.

I've read a lot of mixed reviews about this dress January Jones wore last night, and I happen to be a very big fan of it. Not so much her hair or the shoulders of the dress, and her makeup is pretty bad too. The gold and black on the dress flatter her beige skin, and the lace detail is to die for!

Who's surprised? Us either.

What's up with his hair and shoes? I love that tie and those pants, he just looks so yummy!

What's worse than Tim Burton's wife in lace? Tim Burton's wife trying to pull off Marc Jacobs and the whole 90's shpiel all while wearing  mismatched shoes. We're sure she had a lovely time... 

Can't say we love it, Kimmie. We're kind of over it, actually. Got to say we love the  Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, but the dress is so much she should have done either/or. 

FINALLY the bech is able to pull off de la Renta!!!!!! A celebration is in order! Her girls, however, can use some support.

STUNNING! Love this love this love this! Mila, well done! Hair and makeup are up to par, and that dress is gawwwwjus!

One of our favorites of the night, Angie brought the glam when she wore this feathery  number by the house of  Monique Lhuillier. Hair...not so much.

How does she always manage to look this bad? Unflattering dress, hair, and don't get us started on that nanny necklace.

We thought we had a problem with Lea's girls, but Sophia's are going nuts, just like her eyebrows (we await anxiously for the day she grooms them. I've even said a little prayer for them once before.)

Ladies and gays: this is something that should never be attempted: a dress cut at the wrong length for one's height and hitting in all the wrong places for one's body type. Short of breath here, give me a moment. I never thought a Chanel could look so bad on someone. 

She's killing it! Love the dress, hair, makeup (minus the lips), and nail color! Grey and blue look so good together! Her roots need a touch up, though.

Love the dress: not on her, and not that color. Makeup is streaky and the hair is so Melissa Joan Heart circa 1995. 

Could she have worn anything more unflattering for her bump? A nice flow-y gown would have done the trick. The purse has got to go, but her hair and makeup are perfect! Ugh, can't get over this hideous number!

Not your color, babe. Her gown is pink, her hair is red, her cheeks are red, and her undertones are pink (she's combination). Does that make any sense to you?

Last but not least, the "what was she thinking" dress brought to you by our favorite lesbian, Jane Lynch.  The only thing that stood out (positively) was her makeup.

Those Who Can Not, Should Not

Sometimes what you think looks good may not always be the most flattering. Let's be real--Lea Michele can NOT pull off Oscar de la Renta. Even the most classic dresses from the house overpower her (I will make an exception to that beautiful chiffon number she wore to the Golden Globes last year).

This year was no exception, however, when Lea ruined this otherwise stunning de la Renta.

And let's just TALK about this ugly bird's nest Lea wore to the Emmy's last year. Her stylist must think very little of her if she let her walk out like this. The necklace is gorgeous, but the cheap-whore-trailer-hair-with-half-her-bangs needs some assistance. What's up with matching your nail polish to your dress, we never got that memo. And that cheesy smile with the stick-in-the-ass pose has no one fooled. You look gorgeous, baby!

We're kidding ourselves, you looked miserable. She wore Oscar again to the Time 100 Gala. This is the "my Spankx ripped and I laughed so hard I peed my pants. I had an extra pair of granny panties in my purse so I decided to put those on. Then I sucked in real hard and pretended I was a statue" dress. Also, that "faded" skin color is so last never. When your makeup artist powders your face and neckline a darker shade than the rest of your body, you end up looking like a flame. Google it.

Lea, please avoid dresses that don't flatter your body. Fire your stylist and get a new one, then tell your makeup artist to pay attention to your whole body, not just your face, and get a better posing coach--you look  like you're eleven sometimes.
