BREAKING NEWS: Christophe Decarnin in Mental Hospital!

What the eff is happening in Paris?!! If this isn't a sure sign of Doomsday, I don't know what is. Nymag.com is reporting that Christophe Decarnin did not walk after his Balmain show today, nor was he to be found backstage. This is strange, one of the biggest fashion designers in Paris does not show up to his show? Unheard of. Something is going on, and I hope that the rumors going around are not true. Here is what Nymag reported:

"Hint's blog reports that an anonymous person told them he's been in a "mental hospital" since January:Described as a "total nightmare," he disappeared one day in mid-January. Soon after, it was announced to employees that he would not be coming back.
However, Balmain owner M. Alain Hivelin gave the Telegraph's Hilary Alexander a much less scandalous explanation: "He's tired, after working on the collection." What?
"No, he's NOT retired. He's just tired. He didn't go to bed until 5am. He's not here, he's resting," M. Hivelin stressed."

It doesn't matter how much sleep or lack thereof a designer is able to get the night before a show; they still have to attend. Doing so otherwise raises brows, especially at such a big show as Balmain. Gosh, I hope this is the last chain of bad news to hit PAFW this season.
