Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2012

Last season Prada introduced fruit in their collection, this season Dolce & Gabbana brought vegetables into the limelight, and next season Armani's doing dairy. No, really! This is just another way of warding models away from food: wear it, don't eat it.
I think I've seen some sort of floral interpretation in every single runway and presentation this month. I really like Dolce's appliqued dresses, and the softness of the fabric counterparts the blunt print, making for a perfect combination. I love the garlic earrings! How cute!

I see we are still going for a 40's inspired cut with the dresses and skirts, but with a the midriff showing, it adds a modern touch. Love the boxy handbags, those are another trend to take note. Those gemstones on the skirts near the middle remind us of Burberry's wooden sew-ons.

Two more things: the pieces near the end remind us of Louis Vuitton this season, and why on earth did Magdalena close the show?! I can't stand her.
