With Christophe Decarnin no longer at the helms of Balmain, we wonder who the design team consists of until they find a new replacement. In our humble opinion, we do not think they need to find a replacement. This collection has proven to to be one of Balmain's best. They have finally picked themselves up from their atrocious Fall show. Hire the head of the design team as Decarnin's new replacement, and everything will be back to normal.
The pictures are taken on a staircase, much like Lanvin did with their Resort collection. I like that idea, but come up with your own shit, people! I'm tired of seeing doubles of everything.
This is the type of collection you can only wear if you have the body for it. I adore the heavy belts that drape the belts elegantly. The whole collection is very Emanuelle Alt. Or perhaps Emanuelle Alt is much like this collection. It's hard to say whether she is Balmain or Balmain is her. I adore both, and therefore this is my favorite Balmain collection to date. It's hard to compete with their Spring/Summer 2010, so they can only go up from here. I'll be twirling my thumbs until S/S 12! CANNOT WAIT.
